Clare Lindop is a very successful Australian female jockey. To date she has had 3324 rides and has come first in 408 rides, second in 385 rides and third in 366 rides. This gives Lindop a percentage win of 12.3% and a place percentage of 34.9%. Between August 2008 and June 2009, Lindop rode 507 races and came first in 63 of those races; second in 71; and third in 58. This gives her a win percentage of 12.4% and a place percentage of 37.9% during this time period.

From August 2008 to June 2009, Dyson has had 283 races and had 24 wins, 24 seconds and 19 thirds. This equates to 8.5% of her rides as wins and 23.7% of her rides as a place.

Michelle Payne is one of Australia’s leading female jockeys. Payne has had 2404 rides to date, with 237 wins, 235 seconds and 231 thirds. This places Payne’s win percentage at 9.9% and her place percentage at 29.2%. From August 2008 to June 2009, Payne had ridden 542 races, had 55 wins, 67 seconds and 68 thirds. Another standout of the female jockeys in Australia is Mandy Radecker. This jockey has had 1655 rides in her career, has had 197 wins, 139 seconds and 162 thirds. This gives Radecker a win percentage of 11.9% and a place percentage of 30.1%. From August 2008 to June 2009, Radecker had 230 rides, 18 wins, 20 seconds and 22 thirds. This equates to a win percentage of 7.8% and a place percentage of 26.1%.

Michelle Allen has had 558 races in her career, won 34, come second 45 times and third 51 times. This is a win percentage of 6.1% and a place percentage of 23.3%. Another of the female jockeys in Australia is Simone Altieri. Having had 512 races, Altieri has had 42 wins, 46 seconds and 49 thirds. This gives her a win percentage of 8.2% and a place percentage of 26.8%. From August 2008 to June 2009, Altieri had 328 rides, won 25 of these, came second in 29 and third in 39. As such, during this time she had a win percentage of 7.6% and a place percentage of 26.2%.
